At the Chess Club at East Texas A&M University, our mission is to create more opportunities for students to play chess with their peers. The Chess Club will allow students to have fun and also play in tournaments if they are ready for the next level of the sport.

Sorority membership provides an opportunity for members to reach their fullest potential and gain access to a supportive network of women that will help them grow far beyond their college days. Membership in fraternal organizations has been linked to higher well-being for college graduates.

In a 2014 Gallup-Purdue Index Study, it was found that college graduates who were in fraternities and sororities were more likely to be thriving in all five critical elements of well-being (purpose, social, financial, physical, and community). Subjects were found to have:

Had stronger emotional support systems

Been more effective at managing economic life and increased financial security

Fraternity and sorority members were also found to be more engaged in the workplace and invested in experiential learning opportunities.

Chi Omega is the largest sorority in the National Panhellenic Conference, with the most members and the most collegiate chapters. While we are proud of being the largest fraternal network for women, we are even more proud of the values our Sisters exhibit every day.

Clay Club's goal is to introduce more art majors to
the ceramic arts, and help foster a creative, safe, and freeing environment where
students can learn about ceramics by getting their hands dirty.

Membership Benefits
We will hold regular meetings, where the members will organize sales of ceramic works to
raise funds for various projects including; funding student travel to the annual NCECA
conference, visiting artist programming, guest lectures and more. Student members will work
together to choose the visiting artists, and sponsor their events. Planning and implementing
the Clay Club events are integral to a students professional practices. Installing exhibits,
advertising, designing promotional material and organizing events provide members with
experiences for their post-academic career.
