Hello, Scholars!
I hope your fall semester is going well! The first Workshop Wednesday was very well attended. 121 Scholars completed both the pre- and post- assessment and demonstrated full participation!
October 1 @ 1:15 PM CST - Conflict Resolution Skills for Leaders, Presented by – Gene Roberts, Sam Houston State University, Associate Dean of Students and Director, Student Legal & Mediation Services
Description - This workshop will equip the students with essential conflict resolution skills grounded in leadership principles. Students will explore how our brains respond to conflict and learn effective communication strategies vital for resolving disputes constructively. The workshop will offer practical tools to navigate challenges in academic, professional, and social settings. The workshop will help to enhance self-awareness, empathy, and collaborative problem-solving, preparing students for leadership roles and post-graduate success.

ATTENDANCE UPDATE
Scholars who attend 5 out of 6 Workshop Wednesdays will receive a TLS debossed Padfolio to use for future interviews and other professional needs.
- How to attend a Workshop Wednesday
- Attend Live and complete the pre- and post- assessment provided by the presenter during the workshop. Live attendance is encouraged because our presenters need to present to a live audience.
- Watch the recording of the workshop and complete the pre- and post- assessment as directed when we send the recording out.
- Recorded Workshops will be sent to Campus Coordinators to send to you on the Thursday after the workshop
- Scholars will have 1 week to watch the recording and complete the pre- and post- assessment as directed in the email
- While the assessment will close after 1 week, the workshop recording remains available through the recording link.
- To confirm your attendance, you must complete the pre- and post- assessment provided
- The Workshop is approximately 1-hour, and your answers are time stamped to confirm your full participation.
- Attendance is only awarded for FULL participation.
- You will NOT receive attendance credit if your time stamped responses do not match full participation of the workshop.
- If you attend 5 out of 6 workshops and your attendance is confirmed:
- Padfolios, with a letter of completion, will be sent to the institutions for distribution mid-April to early-May
- If you attend the TLS Summer Leadership Conference (date and location to be announced) you will receive recognition for your commitment.
