Texas LEADERSHIP Scholars - Workshop Wednesday Recording Available

Good morning, Texas LEADERSHIP Scholars!

 

For those of you who were not able to attend the Live Workshop Wednesday, you can watch it here. To be counted for attendance you must do the pre- and post- assessment in the survey at the appropriate times during the workshop (beginning and end).

 

Scholars who attend 5 out of 6 Workshop Wednesdays will receive a TLS debossed Padfolio to use for future interviews and other professional needs.

  • To confirm your attendance, you must complete the pre- and post- assessment provided
    • The Workshop is approximately 1 hour, and your answers are time-stamped to confirm your full participation.
    • Attendance is only awarded for FULL participation.
    • If your time stamped responses do not match full participation of the workshop, you will not receive attendance credit.
  • Scholars will have ONE week to watch the recording and complete the surveys.
    • The Surveys will open on Thursday, October 2 at 7:30 am CST.
    • The Surveys will close on Friday, October 10 at 9:30 am CST.

Conflict Resolution Skills for Leaders, Presented by – Gene Roberts, Sam Houston State University, Associate Dean of Students and Director, Student Legal & Mediation Services

Description - This workshop will equip the students with essential conflict resolution skills grounded in leadership principles. Students will explore how our brains respond to conflict and learn effective communication strategies vital for resolving disputes constructively. The workshop will offer practical tools to navigate challenges in academic, professional, and social settings. The workshop will help to enhance self-awareness, empathy, and collaborative problem-solving, preparing students for leadership roles and post-graduate success.
