About Us

The purpose of SHC is to benefit the university by acting as a governing body for the University's Honors College, which includes students in the Honors College and Honors Scholar Program. The Student Honors Council commits to promoting scholarship and providing opportunities for meaningful scholastic, social, service and cultural interaction for students represented by the council.

Members Benefits

Members are expected to participate in and attend events, fundraisers, and meetings as set forth by the Executive Council. Members are required to serve a minimum of four hours per semester with SHC volunteer community service events. Hours served may also count toward the community service requirements of the Honors College.
