About Us

After becoming knowledgeable of what Delta had to offer minority women, 29 college students came together at East Texas State University, now as A&M University-Commerce. With the help of falcuty, staff, and friends, the Divine 29 chartered the Theta Nu chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated on May 8, 1971. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc is an organization of college educated women committed to the constructive development of its members and to public service with a primary focus on the Black community.
