About Us

The mission of the Black Student Union is to promote a positive atmosphere for African American students. This organization serves to advocate for the wellbeing of all black students and organizations on the Texas A&M University- Commerce campus.

The purpose of this organization is to establish a union of the Black American/African American students, black faculty, and other black organizations. Our primary goal is to facilitate educational opportunities and bring awareness to issues facing Black/ African Americans today.
