¡Mujeres De Acción!, Living and Learning Community under the office of Intercultural Engagement and Leadership at TAMUC, is a program dedicated to supporting and advocating for young Latina women on campus by promoting academic success, cultural awareness, service, and inclusivity in our community. Since its foundation in 2016, ¡MDA! has actively cultivated, shared, and reinforced its values by impacting and making a presence within multiple areas of higher education.
Over the last few years, ¡MDA! has welcomed over 100 members with a space that provides a sense of belonging and achievement. By offering an affordable housing option to its first-year students and an integrating system of weekly sessions to general members, ¡MDA! facilitates the resources and support that prepares its Sunflowers for success. Aditionally, ¡MDA! and its endowment team have been proudly upholding a scholarship since the creation of the program, meant to provide aid to students in need and be inclusive towards international, undocumented, and DACA recipients.
